They do like to touch children, squeezing their arms gently or stroking their hair, especially if your child is blonde, but it´s done with the kindest of intentions. However, this can be a bit unnerving for children from the West who aren't used to this kind of attention from strangers.

At Scandinavian Lagoon the doctor, the chief and the manager are all from Sweden.Our trained resort staff is here to assist you in enjoying your stay at Scandinavian Lagoon Resort. If you have children or have  friends that visit you with children we also provide babysitters so that you can enjoy your lunch or a swim. If you need things like milk or bread you don't have to leave the resort. Things like that can be bought in our minimart. If you're going to travel somewhere you can buy your tickets at the resort's travel agency.

If your children are a little bit older, Phuket offers world-class international schools with teachers from England and the United States.We will also be opening a Swedish school at the resort in cooperation with Phuket Winfy School.

Outside the Resort

Phuket Island is surrounded by beaches, and all of them have their own special character.The ones on the eastern side of Phuket are quiet and calm as opposed to the well known Kata, Karon and Patong. Nai Harn is one of the island's most beautiful locations with fine sand and crystal clear water. Outside of the Resort you will also find Phuket's finest wine store, Phuket Zoo, the famous Temple Wat Chalong, Chalong Pier, Central Festival department store and Phuket Bangkok Hospital.
